Basketball Recap: Downtown Magnets Drops Highest Score of Season Against Orthopaedic

Downtown Magnets was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 38-21 to the Orthopaedic Vipers. One positive for the Suns, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Alexa Antolin and Isabella Palma certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Antolin posted 11 points along with six boards and four steals, while Palma scored three points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Those 11 points gave Antolin a new career-high.

Downtown Magnets' loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Orthopaedic, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

Downtown Magnets and Orthopaedic's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Downtown Magnets will square off against USC-MAE at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, a squad that's only allowed 25.6 points per game. Meanwhile, Orthopaedic and Aspire Ollin (who has only given up 27.91 points per game) will meet at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
