Classen SAS won the last time they faced Capitol Hill and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Comets blew past the Redwolves 12-1. Considering the Comets have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Lauren Talley was a major factor no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Talley was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Ashlynn Vence was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Adrienne Hill was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Classen SAS was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .619. The last time their batting average was this high was was before the start of last season.
