Baseball Recap: Woodland Comes Up Short

Woodland lost against Union Grove last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Woodland lost 13-1 to Union Grove. The Wolfpack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Woodland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Douglas Sample, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Union Grove, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodland will host Locust Grove at 5:55 p.m. on Friday. Woodland will need to watch out since Locust Grove has now posted at least ten runs in their last four matches. As for Union Grove, they will be playing at home against Eagle's Landing at 5:55 p.m. on Friday. Union Grove is facing Eagle's Landing at the right time seeing as Eagle's Landing is stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
