Basketball Recap: Winters Picks Up Sixth Straight Win on the Road

Winters won the last time they faced Willows and things went their way on Friday too. The Winters Warriors snuck past the Willows Honkers with a 36-31 victory.

Winters found their leader in sophomore Maci Dodic, who posted ten points.

When it comes to explaining why Willows lost, don't look at Karla DiMaggio. Despite the final result, she scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Neuhauer, who earned seven points.

Winters' win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points per game. As for Willows, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Coincidentally, Winters and Willows will both be playing Colusa the next time they take the court. Willows will head out to face Colusa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Winters will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th.
