Softball Game Preview: Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes vs. Morgan County Bulldogs

Monroe Area is 1-9 against Morgan County since September of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Purple Hurricanes will venture away from home to challenge the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Morgan County will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Monroe Area extended their winning streak to six on Tuesday. Everything went the Purple Hurricanes' way against Oconee County as they made off with a 9-1 win.

Meanwhile, Morgan County owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Callaway. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Morgan County's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Monroe Area, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.

Monroe Area couldn't quite finish off Morgan County in their previous matchup back in September and fell 5-3. Can the Purple Hurricanes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
