Football Recap: Chatham Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Chatham was the 27-14 winner over Nelson County when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Cavaliers received a blow on Friday as they fell 29-12 to the Governors. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jacob Vanderhyde threw for 84 yards and two TDs. Ej Linder was his top target, picking up 53 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Nelson County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dylan Butler led the charge by rushing for 89 yards and one score, while also picking up 35 receiving yards. Eli Durrant was another key rusher, rushing for 117 yards and one touchdown.

Chatham's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Nelson County, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-4.
