Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Citizens Christian Academy walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars a 4-0 shutout on Friday. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 5-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Citizens Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 24-6. As for Thomas Jefferson Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-13.

Coming up, Citizens Christian Academy will challenge David Emanuel Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. Thomas Jefferson Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
