Soccer Recap: Thursday's Win Is Valley's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Valley's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They never let the Armijo Royals onto the board and left with a 1-0 win. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Vikings were the better team in the second half.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Mariana Aguirre, who's now up to four this season.

Valley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those five contests. As for Armijo, they dropped their record down to 5-7-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
