Parkway Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Parkway Center City Bulldogs, falling 49-17. One positive for the Hoyas, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Parkway Center City was led to victory by Peyton Heath-Owens and London Fisher. Heath-Owens went 10 for 18 on her way to 21 points, while Fisher went 8 of 14 on her way to 16 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Heath-Owens has scored at least a third of Parkway Center City's points.
Parkway Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Parkway Center City, the victory snapped their losing streak at eight games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-6 record.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkway Northwest will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off.
