Basketball Recap: Parkway Northwest Takes a Loss

Parkway Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Parkway Center City Bulldogs, falling 49-17. One positive for the Hoyas, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Parkway Center City was led to victory by Peyton Heath-Owens and London Fisher. Heath-Owens went 10 for 18 on her way to 21 points, while Fisher went 8 of 14 on her way to 16 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Heath-Owens has scored at least a third of Parkway Center City's points.

Parkway Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Parkway Center City, the victory snapped their losing streak at eight games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-6 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkway Northwest will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Paul Robeson at 3:15 p.m. on January 22nd. As for Parkway Center City, they will host Constitution at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
