Volleyball Recap: Foard Falls Short of Ashe County in the Playoffs + How To Watch

Foard and Ashe County squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Foard had to settle for second. They came up short against the Huskies, falling 3-0. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Huskies when the teams met back in August of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Foard was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Ashe County's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15, 28-26.

Ashe County found their leader in sophomore Kinzley Blevins, who had 11 digs and six aces. Blevins is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Foard's loss ended a six-match streak of away wins and brought them to 14-11. As for Ashe County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season.

Foard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ashe County, they will challenge Maiden at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
