Basketball Recap: Lakeview Charter Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Lakeview Charter needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Evelyn Quinonez. The Lakeview Charter Lions greeted the New Year with with a 48-31 win over the Sherman Oaks CES Knights thanks in part to Quinonez, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Lakeview Charter's points.

The victory got Lakeview Charter back to even at 7-7. As for Sherman Oaks CES, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-2.

Lakeview Charter is taking a road trip to face off against Valley Oaks CES at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakeview Charter is facing Valley Oaks CES at the right time seeing as Valley Oaks CES is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Sherman Oaks CES, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Northridge Academy at 4:00 p.m.
