Preview: Parkway West HOYAS vs. Franklin Learning Center Bobcats
The Parkway West HOYAS will be playing at home against the Franklin Learning Center Bobcats at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Parkway West will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Parkway West scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They breezed by Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech at home to the tune of 58-14. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Parkway West has managed all season.
Parkway West's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Nymira Bryant, who scored 21 points, and Kemba Brown, who scored 23 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Bryant has scored at least a third of Parkway West's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaahirah Shabazz, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, Franklin Learning Center unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak last Wednesday. They took a hard 36-22 fall against South Philadelphia.
Parkway West's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. As for Franklin Learning Center, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2.
Everything went Parkway West's way against Franklin Learning Center when the teams last played back in January of 2022 as Parkway West made off with a 45-25 victory.
