Baseball Game Preview: Clarence Red Devils vs. Lancaster Redskins

For the second straight game, Clarence will face off against Lancaster. The Red Devils will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Redskins at 5:30 p.m.

Clarence fell victim to Lancaster and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Redskins, falling 8-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Red Devils were not able to get on the board.

For Lancaster's part, Brandon Leto made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over 5.2 innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave Leto a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Cole Notaro was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Matt Stabler, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Lancaster's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Clarence, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7.
