Grovetown entered their tilt with Archer on Wednesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They skirted past the Tigers 5-3. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Tigers back in September, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Josalyn Sergent spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jada Fulbright was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Adalyn McCully, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Grovetown's victory bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Archer, their defeat ended a 17-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 17-3.

Grovetown will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
