Baseball Game Preview: Fannin County Rebels vs. Dade County Wolverines

The Fannin County Rebels will head out on the road to face off against the Dade County Wolverines at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Fannin County didn't have quite enough to beat Lumpkin County and fell 5-4. The loss continues a trend for the Rebels in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Dade County fell victim to Fannin County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Rebels, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Wolverines' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

With the defeat, Dade County broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-13. As for Fannin County, their loss dropped their record down to 14-10.

Fannin County took their win against Dade County in their previous meeting on Tuesday by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
