Baseball Recap: Miller Grove Comes Up Short

Miller Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Lithonia Bulldogs, falling 20-5. That's two games in a row now that the Wolverines have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Miller Grove saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jalan Thomas, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Another was Faleke Thurmon, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Miller Grove's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Lithonia, their win ended an 18-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-15.

Looking ahead, Lithonia will take on Clarkston at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday. Miller Grove will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs' contest: after the Bulldogs faces off against the Angoras, they'll take on Miller Grove again at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
