Basketball Recap: Clairemont Comes Up Short

Clairemont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Kearny Komets 41-12. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chieftains of the 37-15 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Clairemont's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Kearny, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clairemont won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Pacific Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Clairemont is facing Pacific Ridge at the right time seeing as Pacific Ridge is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Kearny, they and Madison will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played.
