Football Game Preview: West Forsyth Wolverines vs. Hillgrove Hawks + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Andrew Davis and Jaiden Moore are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The West Forsyth Wolverines will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hillgrove Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

West Forsyth is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They strolled past Westlake with points to spare, taking the game 42-28. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

It was another big night for Max Walraven, who rushed for 113 yards on only 13 carries, and also threw for 195 yards and one touchdown while completing 77.8% of his passes. Those 113 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. A healthy portion of Walraven's aerial production (127 yards to be exact) went to Mason Page.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: West Forsyth was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 326 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Hillgrove posted their closest win since September 6, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against North Paulding, sneaking past 28-25. The game was the first time the Hawks have beaten the Wolfpack on their field since October 19, 2018.

West Forsyth better keep an eye on Donovan Mack. He was instrumental in Hillgrove's win, rushing for 70 yards and one TD, while also throwing for 103 yards and one touchdown while completing 72.7% of his passes. They also relied on Mack, who's 48-yard boot wound up being the difference in the game.

West Forsyth's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Hillgrove, their win bumped their record up to an identical 9-2.
