Volleyball Recap: Eustis Comes Up Short

Eustis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the East Ridge Knights, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-10, 25-10.

Breylan Fairley went supernova For East Ridge., getting nine aces and five digs. With that strong performance, Fairley is now averaging an impressive 2.3 aces per game. Isabella Aponte also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Eustis' defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for East Ridge, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-7.

Coming up, Eustis will head out on the road to challenge Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Ridge, they will be playing at home against St. Cloud at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
