Soccer Recap: Nevada Takes a Loss

Nevada lost against Perry back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cubs fell just short of the Bluejays by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Nevada can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 110th, while Perry are ranked 35th).

Nevada dropped their record down to 10-6-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Perry, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2-3 record this season.

Nevada has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Madrid on the 5th. As for Perry, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 12-2 win against Grand View Christian on the 6th.
