Baseball Recap: Evergreen Takes a Loss

If Evergreen was feeling good fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Hilltop on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fairview Apaches on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 6-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2019.

Evergreen's loss dropped their record down to 10-8-1. As for Fairview, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

Evergreen is taking a road trip to face off against Columbia Central at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Fairview has already played their next contest (against Defiance), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
