Softball Recap: Lexington Comes Up Short

Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 13-1 to the Bayard Tigers.

Lexington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delilah Solis, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base was Solis' first of the season.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Bayard, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lexington and Bayard will both be playing Alliance the next time they take the field. The Minutemen will host the Bulldogs at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Tigers will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
