Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Sturgeon

Sturgeon hadn't beaten Slater on the road since September 10, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 9-5 win over the Wildcats. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly four runs.

The victory (which was Sturgeon's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Slater, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Sturgeon will venture away from home to square off against New Bloomfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Slater, they will welcome Norborne at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
