Softball Recap: Kennedy Triumphs

Kennedy proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Clear Creek-Amana Clippers. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kennedy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-8. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Clear Creek-Amana, their loss dropped their record down to 16-4.

Kennedy has already played their next contest, an 8-1 defeat against Williamsburg on the 20th. As for Clear Creek-Amana, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-2 victory against Clarksville on the 21st.
