Basketball Recap: Healdsburg Takes a Loss

If Healdsburg was feeling good fresh off their 74-20 takedown of Elsie Allen last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Healdsburg Greyhounds fell just short of the Ukiah Wildcats by a score of 43-41 on Wednesday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-42 on January 9th.

Healdsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Ukiah, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 16-7.

Healdsburg and Ukiah should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Healdsburg (ranked 257th) will meet Piner (ranked 848th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Ukiah will challenge Elsie Allen at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday up 880 places (225 vs. 1105).
