League recap: Terrell Academy rises, Westwood falls in league standings

Terrell Academy made the biggest jump in the standings this week, moving from fourth to second place in GISA AA Region 3 thanks to a 1-1 record over the past seven days. Meanwhile, Westwood fell hardest in the standings, dropping from second all the way to fourth place after going 0-0 in the past week. Southwest Georgia Academy (1-0) is the No. 1 team in the league.

Valwood won one non-conference game this week, best among the league teams. The Valiants defeated Georgia Christian 10-3.

Matthew Jernigan struck out nine in the Warriors' 11-0 win over Randolph Southern on March 5. He gave up one hit and zero runs over four innings of work.
