Soccer Game Preview: Franklin County vs. Greene County

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Franklin County challenge Greene County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Franklin County will be strutting in after a win while Greene County will be coming in after a defeat.

Franklin County is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Prince Avenue Christian on Friday as Franklin County made off with a 7-1 victory. It was an even better day for Eli Cooling as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Greene County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 5-0 to Lincoln County. While losing is never fun, Greene County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 419th, while Lincoln County are ranked 208th).

Greene County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Franklin County, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Franklin County was able to grind out a solid victory over Greene County in their previous meeting back in March of 2019, winning 5-3. Does Franklin County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Greene County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
