Football Recap: Beloit Extends Winning Streak to Four

Beloit extended their winning streak to four on Saturday, bumping them up to 5-3. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 26-20 W against the Russell Broncos. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Broncos, too.

As for Russell, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2. The game marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Russell lost, don't look at Trey Zorn. Despite the final result, he rushed for 34 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 122 yards and one TD. A healthy portion of that aerial production (80 yards to be exact) went to Walker Middleton.

Beloit and Russell are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Trojans will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lakin at 7:00 p.m. As for Russell, they will venture away from home to square off against Cimarron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
