After a string of seven wins, Coronado's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eastwood Troopers. The matchup marked the Thunderbirds' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Roberto Lopez was Coronado's leading scorer, having posted nine points.

Devin Falk-Ramirez was his usual excellent self, going 8 of 15 en route to 17 points for Eastwood. That makes it three consecutive games in which Falk-Ramirez has scored at least a third of Eastwood's points. The team also got some help courtesy of GianCarlo Lomeli, who posted six points.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Eastwood, they pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coronado wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-36 victory against Socorro on the 7th. As for Eastwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-38 win against Montwood on the 7th.
