Softball Recap: Jesup Beats East Marshall for Their Sixth Straight Win

Jesup had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the East Marshall Mustangs. That's more bragging rights for the J-Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jesup pushed their record up to 21-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for East Marshall, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-8.

Jesup has already played their next game, a 5-0 win against Oelwein on the 30th. As for East Marshall, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-1 victory against West Marshall on the 28th.
