Basketball Recap: Mendota Takes a Loss

After flying high against Justin Garza last Tuesday, Mendota came back down to earth. The Mendota Aztecs took a 39-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Parlier Panthers. While the Aztecs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 6-0 in the first quarter.

Mendota has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-5 record this season. As for Parlier, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3.

Mendota has already played their next contest, a 60-4 win against Tranquillity on the 10th. As for Parlier, they will face off against Farmersville at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
