Recap: Pomona Red Devils vs. The Webb Schools Gauls
The Pomona Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 48-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Webb Schools.
It was another big night for Xajani Badkar, who almost dropped a triple-double on 25 points, 11 rebounds, and nine steals for The Webb Schools. That makes it three consecutive games in which Badkar has scored at least 25% of The Webb Schools' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicole Samson, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Pomona's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for The Webb Schools, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pomona will challenge St. Lucy's at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Lucy's defense has only allowed 29.3 points per game this season, so Pomona's offense will have their work cut out for Pomona. As for The Webb Schools, they will head out on the road to face off against Duarte at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Duarte will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
