Arise gave up the first goal on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the AIMS College Prep Golden Eagles. Given Arise's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while AIMS College Prep is ranked 62nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Angel Ordu?a and Cristian Ortiz scored both of Arise's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Arise's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for AIMS College Prep, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5-1.

Looking ahead, Arise is taking a road trip to square off against Lighthouse Community at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for AIMS College Prep, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Latitude at 4:00 p.m.
