Softball Recap: Westwood Comes Up Short

Westwood came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-2 to the Fullington Academy Trojans. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 13-12 to the Trojans when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Westwood has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Fullington Academy, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Westwood will challenge rival Southland Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fullington Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Crisp Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
