Basketball Game Preview: Preuss UCSD Tritons vs. Ocean View Christian Patriots

The Preuss UCSD Tritons are taking a road trip to square off against the Ocean View Christian Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Preuss UCSD is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Preuss UCSD might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 28-27 to High Tech NC, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Despite their loss, Preuss UCSD saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Rediet Neme, who posted 16 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Afi Torgby, who scored eight points.

Meanwhile, Ocean View Christian has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 26.71 points allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 55-19 loss at the hands of School for Entrepreneurship & Technology. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-6.

Ocean View Christian's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Preuss UCSD, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Preuss UCSD came up short against Ocean View Christian in their previous matchup back in January, falling 30-21. Can Preuss UCSD avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
