Softball Recap: Raymond Central Mustangs vs. Arlington Eagles

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Nebraska City, Raymond Central was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Arlington Eagles by a score of 11-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their two-run performance the match before.

Emersyn Kalin tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Maja Matulka was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Tess Roubal, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Raymond Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arlington only posted a batting average of .235.
