Basketball Recap: Tranquillity Comes Up Short

Tranquillity lost to Minarets back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers were outmatched by the Mustangs and fell 60-28. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly 32 points.

Savannah Garabedian was nothing short of spectacular for Minarets: she went 11-for-21 en route to 26 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The Mustangs are 2-1 when Garabedian posts 15 or more points, but 2-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaphara Bryon-Hamilton, who posted 15 points and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Tranquillity and nudges their season record down to 8-7. As for Minarets, they moved to 4-7 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Tranquillity has already played their next game, a 37-28 victory against Le Grand on the 20th. As for Minarets, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 41-30 win against Firebaugh on the 20th.
