Recap: Frazier Commodores vs. California Trojans
The Frazier Commodores pushed their score all the way to 56 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to California 60-56. Frazier was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as California apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Frazier lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Allie Yauch, who scored 23 points along with five assists and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Yauch has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Harger, who scored 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Frazier has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for California, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frazier will take on Jeannette at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Jeannette is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. California will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Chartiers-Houston at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Chartiers-Houston will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
