Softball Recap: Bethlehem Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Bethlehem ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They walked away with a 12-9 win over the Vernon Jackets. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Abigale Brannon was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie Adams, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Bethlehem's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-4. As for Vernon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Looking ahead, Bethlehem will take on Poplar Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Atomics have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season. As for Vernon, they will challenge Ponce De Leon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
