Basketball Recap: Spring Woods Comes Up Short

Spring Woods was the 43-38 winner over Lamar Consolidated when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers lost 65-40 to the Mustangs on Tuesday.

Ty'Riq Lane was a one-man wrecking crew For Lamar Consolidated. as he shot 64% from the field en route to 24 points and five boards. Those 24 points gave Lane a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ayden Reyes, who posted seven points.

Spring Woods' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Lamar Consolidated, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spring Woods will square off against Sharpstown at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Lamar Consolidated, they will welcome Almeta Crawford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
