Ridgeland came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the North Murray Mountaineers 11-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-8 last Wednesday.

Stryker Harden tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits.

On the hitting side, Ronnie Franklin was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jax Middlebrooks, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Ridgeland's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for North Murray, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Ridgeland will square off against Murray County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Ridgeland's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for North Murray, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-0 defeat against Dalton on the 28th.
