California Top 25 high school girls basketball rankings: No. 1 La Jolla Country Day, No. 2 Mitty on collision course

Three of the top four teams in the California Top 25 girls basketball rankings are still after a state title as regional championship play takes place on Tuesday night.

Top-ranked La Jolla Country Day Day (31-1) takes on fourth-ranked Windward (27-5) in the Southern Section Open Division championship.

Second-ranked Archbishop Mitty (25-3) plays St. Joseph Notre Dame (24-7) in the Northern California Open Division championship.

The winners play for the state title 6 p.m. Saturday at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.
