Softball Recap: Norman North Comes Up Short

Westmoore hit Norman North with a four-run first inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Timberwolves fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 7-6. The Timberwolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jaguars earlier this season, when they won 8-2.

Norman North has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Westmoore, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-11.

Norman North and Westmoore could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. The Timberwolves (ranked 63rd) will meet Choctaw (ranked third) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Westmoore will challenge Enid at 6:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (61 vs. 18).
