Basketball Recap: Philipsburg-Osceola Comes Up Short

Philipsburg-Osceola lost against Huntingdon back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers were outmatched by the Huntingdon Bearcats and fell 55-21. The Mountaineers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Philipsburg-Osceola still got an impressive performance from Lily Warlow, who posted 12 points. Maddy Malinich was another key player, putting up six points.

Lily Fiscus continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Huntingdon, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Fiscus has scored at least a third of Huntingdon's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isadore Kazmarski, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Philipsburg-Osceola's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Huntingdon, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Philipsburg-Osceola didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-29 loss against Forest Hills on the 31st. Huntingdon has also already played their next matchup, a 67-59 defeat against Clearfield on the 28th.
