Preview: Deer Valley Wolverines vs. Pittsburg Pirates
The Deer Valley Wolverines will head out on the road to face off against the Pittsburg Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Deer Valley and four for Pittsburg.
On Tuesday, Deer Valley lost to Freedom on the road by a decisive 55-40 margin.
Meanwhile, Pittsburg pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 62-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Antioch. Pittsburg has struggled against Antioch recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Deer Valley's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Pittsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13.
Deer Valley was dealt a bruising 58-27 loss at the hands of Pittsburg when the teams last played on January 9th. Can Deer Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
