Josh Smith Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Arp was led to victory by Josh Smith, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Smith rushed for 300 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 17.6 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (117.4). He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 87-yard run.
Arp is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Tigers challenges Winona at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Effort from Dalton Walker Leads Elkhart over Arp
Elkhart came up short on Friday despite Dalton Walker delivering his best game to date. Walker rushed for 260 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also picked up 34 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run.
Elkhart's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6. Walker and Elkhart will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Winona at 7:30 p.m. on November 1st.

New Diana Gets a Boost from Johnson in 35-11 Win
Dejuan Johnson's big game helped extend New Diana's winning streak to seven on Friday. Troup had no answer to Johnson as he rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 98 yards and a touchdown. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played.
New Diana's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Johnson and New Diana will challenge Buffalo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Davis Made His Presence Known in Buffalo's 46-44 Defeat
Buffalo was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Cole Davis did his best to prevent it. Nobody could stop Davis as he rushed for 150 yards while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 195 yards and a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 60 yards.
Buffalo is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. Davis and Buffalo will face off against New Diana at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

New Diana Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Davyon Mapps
New Diana picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Davyon Mapps. Mapps' rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 109 rushing yards.
On the year, Mapps has averaged 124.9 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 73.29 rushing yards per game.
