Baseball Game Preview: Gibraltar Vikings vs. Bonduel Bears

The Gibraltar Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Bonduel Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Gibraltar took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Mishicot, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Vikings skirted past the Indians 8-7. The win was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won three contests in a row.

Meanwhile, Bonduel had just enough and edged out Amherst 4-3 on Thursday.

Beckett Hartlaben was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Hartlaben was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times he's played.

In other batting news, Jack Zernicke was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Gibraltar's record now sits at 8-2. As for Bonduel, their record is now 17-5.
