Elbert County entered their tilt with Rabun County on Friday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Wildcats. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 8-4 victory on Friday.

Brody Baker made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sam Amabile, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Jose Rodrigues, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Elbert County's win bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Rabun County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.
