Football Recap: Pleasanton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Central Heights last Friday, Pleasanton came back down to earth. The Blu-Jays came up short against the Sacred Heart Knights on Saturday, falling 29-7. The Blu-Jays were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Elias Gordon went supernova For Sacred Heart., rushing for 194 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Those 194 rushing yards gave Gordon a new career-high.

Pleasanton now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Sacred Heart, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pleasanton will host St. Mary's-Colgan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sacred Heart, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Valley Heights at 7:00 p.m.
