Baseball Recap: Cassville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Blue Eye on Monday, Cassville came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the East Newton Patriots by a score of 6-5 on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost six in a row.

Cassville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Hughes, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Cassville's loss dropped their record down to 8-25-1. As for East Newton, their win bumped their record up to 7-17.

As of now, neither Cassville nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
